Hello Friends,

Time to talk about a happy hour that actually lives up to the hype, welcome to Earls!

We visited the Vaughan location around 4:30 PM on a hot summer afternoon, just in time for their first happy hour of the day. Fun fact? They offer two happy hours every single day: from 3–6 PM and again from 9 PM to close. Yes, you read that right, twice a day.

Right from the start, we were impressed. The restaurant is sleek, modern, and stylish without feeling too formal. The ambiance strikes a nice balance between laid-back and elegant, definitely a great spot for both casual meetups and slightly dressed-up dinners.

What really stood out? The service. Our server was incredibly attentive, super friendly, and full of helpful recommendations. Honestly, service like that always makes the experience feel more special.

Drinks

Now onto the menu, Earls knows what they’re doing. Their happy hour menu is one of the most complete we’ve seen: cocktails, starters, mains… all at great prices.

We kicked things off with drinks and tried four: the raspberry margarita, guava margarita, lime margarita, and a classic sangria. Each one was absolutely delicious, refreshing, well-balanced, and perfect for the weather. We were genuinely surprised at how good they were. Easily a 10/10 lineup, especially when you consider the price point.

The Food

For starters, we ordered the charred corn + avocado dip and the Nashville crispy chicken + pickle skewers. The skewers were actually our server’s suggestion, and he was spot on: crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying. Just keep in mind, you only get four per order, so if you're really hungry, you’ll probably want to grab a second round.

When it came time for mains, three of us went for the petite steak frites, which turned out to be the group favorite. The fries were crisp and perfectly seasoned, and while the steak was very tasty, the “petite” part is real, don’t expect a huge portion. If you're looking for something a little more filling, we’d recommend the aburi salmon sushi press, this one was a hit in both flavor and quantity. The only downside? The wait time between drinks and food was a bit long. Not terrible, but noticeable. Still, the vibe and quality made up for it.

So, is Earls’ happy hour worth it?

Absolutely. It’s stylish, versatile, and offers something for everyone. The portions are on the smaller side, so we suggest ordering a variety of dishes to share. We each spent around $30, which felt like a great deal considering the quality, the drinks, and the full dining experience. You’ll leave satisfied without feeling overly full or broke.
